Good Morning,

Curt thanks for the coffee and breakfast. Hope you make it to the bench and sounds like you're really enjoying the kit.

What are your plans for the day?

It's a frosty 32 with a high of 59 in New York. Yesterday I enclosed the back porch, raked the front yard since the house is on a knoll, then ground up ALL the leaves for the last time this season. Never did make it to the bench but hopefully that'll change today. I did order a couple of items from Berkshire Valley Models for the Shop. Once all the walls are detailed and glued in place I'll start on the machines until the items arrive.

Have a great day!! Be well and keep warm.

Good morning everyone.

Middle of no where in Nevada weather: 37 now and sunny with a high of 64 later.

Curt, thanks for the coffee and breakfast.
Sorry about the car and hope not too much money is flying away.

Larry, good news on getting those 1:1's done.

James, have fun working on the layout.

ACLTom, sorry you had to deal with the family crap but you did get more fodder for your book.
Nice shots of the switcher.

Jerry, there won't be a sticker because the visitors center is closed because of the DC shut down.

Dave, I hate when that happens.  ;D

What's everyone else up to?

Found out that the road to the trailheads was closed for 5 miles which would add 10 miles to my hikes.
I decided I'd come back another time when the road was open and left the park.
Started to make my way to Cathedral Canyon SP.
I'm about an hour away from there and should get there later this morning.

Have a great day everyone.

Philip

Morning Curt/Larry/Rick! thanks for the coffee. Frosty this am.

Not sure what the day brings yet...

Morning fellow modelers.

Had quite the weekend. The Syracuse Train Show at the NYS Fairgrounds was on this weekend and I helped my friend out both days. It was a great show. I heard there were over 2000 people on Saturday. Not bad for a 7 hour show.

As it was I just couldn't go home empty handed. Walked around before the show opening to the public on Sunday and I found this kit that wanted to follow me home.

Found a couple of other pevious enjoyed items.

I bought the Lionel set because I wanted this engine.

I'll be busy for a while.

Good Morning Folks;

I love those outdoor photos! The Boss and I are just back from a cruise and settling back in to our routine. Cruise was nice but good to be home.

So I thought I would share a story that happened last year. Deb and I went to Detroit for a wedding, held in the original Ford manufacturing plant. As part of the reception we were given a tour of which included this early Dodge car. The guide said what made it unique had the first stamped steel body of its time. He then told the story of General Pershing going into Mexico before WW1 with a bunch of these cars chasing Pancho Via. A lieutenant of his took 2 of them to scout nearby village, got into a firefight, killed a bunch of bad guys and came back outracing the pursuit that was on horses. The cars were faster and the steel bodies stopped the bullets. He asked who was the lieutenant was and I answered from the back General Patton. I was correct. However, up front where my wife was standing a young man was heard to say, 'I am sure he would know that, he was probably there'. My wife doubled over laughing along with everyone else. ha ha

Morning all,

Had an O'Dark 30 blood draw, got home and went back to bed.

We have a few errands to run and then out to dinner.

I found this old Gulf Station while driving around. It is now a small museum. However, it was closed.

Have a great day everyone.

 8) Sun and wind in my neighborhood today after some rain overnight and a losing football game yesterday afternoon in Detroit. They are running out of healthy players.  :(

Speaking of train shows, there is a great show next Sunday at the Pavilion at Michigan State University next Sunday November 9 over 300 tables sold out for weeks now. Close to 3 thousand folks came last year. Always some good deals, clinics and layouts to see.

I've given my 3d endeavor a rest for a few days. I might harvest some of the knowledge shared on my "Help" post the last couple of days. Thanks for sharing.

Enuf here.

Reminds me of the story about the little old French lady during WWII who would trip German officers on the Metro stairs using her cane....

Seems like when you use the "Drag & Drop" to post pictures it takes the system a while to load them into the post. I uploaded the pictures to my website and linked them into the post so they show up right away.
