Good Morning All,

Thanks for opening and breakfast Rick. Have fun with your grandson today. Pretty photo.

Started out the day with a walk at 53F and dead calm. Yesterday I glued the 4th wall before heading out to decorate the subdivision entrance. There was 5 of us total so it only took about 90 minutes. Of course the outlets are on a timer so we couldn't tell what was working. That meant that a second trip at night happened last night with the boss and her lacky. There were some issues but we're easily fixed in less than 30 minutes. Bah Humbug.

Today after chores I'll start putting the inside braces in with epoxy.

That's it for me.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning folks,

Rick, thanks for opening, coffee, and breakfast. Happy Birthday to your Grandson.

Curt, Congrats on completing the HOA decorations.

Jerry, how did the yard cleanup go?

Ron, the boxcars are looking exceptionally nice.

Dave, the machine shop looks fantastic.

Karl, that's a beautiful sunset photo.

How is the rest of the crew?

It's another bright morning at 57°F, headed to 75°F.  This fall weather is so nice.

Yesterday, I did little of anything but watch Oklahoma beat Alabama. ;D  I don't think I mentioned that I sprained my left wrist and have a hard time working at the bench.  Although I am mostly ambidextrous, my left hand dominates.  This morning, it still hurts to move it much.  Getting old is becoming less fun!

Have fun,
mike

Good Morning,

Rick thanks for the coffee and breakfast this morning. Thanks for the well wishes for my BIL and he seems to be doing better according to the folks at Rehab; still a long road ahead. Nice photo and don't spoil your Grandson too much.

Curt the decorations didn't sound like much fun but at least they're done. Have fun with your build.

Mike sorry to hear about your wrist and hope it heals quickly. Yup "getting old ain't for sissies".

What's the rest of you doing.

It's 41 with a high of 43 in New York. More white crap in the forecast with some wind today but at least it's supposed to warm back up in a few days. Work continues on the Shop as I try and figure out the belt lines while I wait for parts to arrive. Homemade sloppy joe's for dinner with fries later....yum.

Have a great day!! Be well and keep warm.

Morning all,

Thanks for breakfast Rick.

I'll keep this short. After lunch yesterday, I came down with a headache, chills and runny nose. I guess Pam was kind enough to pass on her crude. I'm going back to bed.

Have a safe and healthy day everyone. A healthy day is to late for me.

Curt, sounds like putting up the HOA decoration was fun. ;D  Have fun at the bench.

Mike, hope the wrist feels better real soon.

Larry, dinner sounds great.

ACLTom, hope you feel better soon.

Terry, have a great day.

It's currently 1c (34f) and overcast.  It's been a few days since we have seen the sun.  Woke up this morning to a light dusting of the white stuff but I'm guessing that it will be gone later today.

Spent some time yesterday working on the boxcars so will be making a post later this morning.  That's it for me,

Have a great day everyone.

TomO/Tloc

Good morning from Rochester, Minnesota. Got here around 7:30 last night.

Hockey yesterday really had a strange ending. Up 2 and the Badgers took some strange and unseen penalties in the last 8 minutes of the game. I'm not a referee basher but Friday night they were let's just say they were poor. Saturday it was obvious about their bias and incompetence right from the beginning. Game tied 4-4, still tied after sudden death overtime. Shoot the Badger won but it just seemed so tainted. We have on Monday nights dinner with Coach and his wife. He won't talk about any game and I won't ask but when the game was over he was just shaking his head which is very unusual for him.

Tonight we stay at a friend's home. Heading home on Monday but not sure which route we will take.

We got light rain last night so it's a bit damp.  Temps in the 40s, normal for this time of year.  Cloudy, although I did see a bit of sun for a couple minutes before the clouds closed up again.

Yesterday I installed windows in most of the Machine Shop walls.  Today I'll tackle the windows that go into the clear acrylic wall, that will require a bit of care to make sure I don't mess up the acrylic.  I also need to check out some possibly mis-measured/mis-cut trim pieces.  If they're actually undersize, they'll be easy to recreate with stripwood.  I've been pondering how to attach the freight doors, and have some ideas to try out.  But I'm getting close to The Big Moment when I glue the walls to the framing, and it starts to look like a real building.

8) Bright sun but chilling cold.

Our football team live down to my expectations. Wasted the time watching and won't again this year. Beyond embarrassing. Was ashamed of how our coach looked, hadn't shaved, didn't look like a major college football coach should look to me. What an awful performance.

I did a bang up job mowing the yard yesterday then proceeded with trying to remove the mowing deck in preparation for putting on the snow blower. It seems to me that when it was in the shop for maintenance and new blades they fowled up the EZ off deck release. A wire got caught under the deck and got ripped apart and killed it, no nothing. IMG_2912.jpeg

So I get to send it back in. No idea how they're going to get it  >:(.

I'm having moderate success with some basic 3d printing that my only positive experience.

Oh yeah, SocSec is early again this month. I'm due the 3rd Wednesday each month but the pittance has been in the bank the weekend before for 2-3 months now.

Our Lions play this evening on NBC and since I canned Satellite tv it's out of range for our antenna and I don't have Peacock streaming. Oh well.

Enjoy the day all.

Be well

Everyone have a great day!! :)

Good morning, all. The NH seacoast has been nice at times this morning, sunny and 50F, but dark clouds out of the NW brought a rain shower the weather guessers missed. I've been mostly working on the computer, but this afternoon I'll go out to a charity event organized by old HS friends.
