Morning all.

Ten degrees here this morning and not going to get much warmer.  All our visitors have left and it's quite here today.  I'm a bit sore from my first day back to work, but it went OK.  Maybe I'll get back to the FSM kit today, we'll see.  Good to see we're picking up some new members on the forum.

Happy New Year!

It's been a busy few days here with the grandkids.  Many trains have been run.  A few glitches,  a dead yard track, a broken coupler, etc,  but no major layout issues.

Running out of time if you're still Christmas shopping.  I have two items to wrap today.  

Didn't get much done yesterday as it was "cookie day" here and watching the Patriots game.

Still working on roofing the FSM kit.  Probably will do some rafter tails today. 

Football watching later, the Patriots may actually be on video today.  We're 14.5 point underdogs and i doubt it will be that close.

Hope Tom is recovering well from his surgery.  Which reminds me, I only have 2 more weeks off until I have to go back to work.

One week to Christmas.  Probably too late to get off the naughty list.  

Need to chauffer my wife to an epidural this morning and other stuff this afternoon, so probably not much bench time today.

I accomplished nothing yesterday except putting together a new office chair.

Above freezing, but the driveway still looks icy.  

Will watch some football later and listen to the Patriots game, hope we move up closer to the #1 draft pick.  

Starting work on the roofs of the FSM build as well.

We have everyone's favorite, freezing rain here this morning.  Supposed to get above freezing this afternoon and rain pretty much all day.  

I never did start the cleanup of the train areas and will begin that today.  Three walls of the FSM kit are together and will continue to work on that as well.  It's not like I'm going outside today.

Friday the 13th!  Eight degrees today with a high of twenty five.  Maybe an ice storm tonight.  I have heated mats for the front steps I'll be putting out later today.  

New dishwasher installed yesterday, they were in and out in an hour.  Hopefully it will work as well as the old one and for another eleven years.  

Still plugging away at the FSM kit.

Four degrees here this morning to a high of 16.  I don't plan to leave the house.  

Need to do some cleanup around the layout and will continue slow progress on the challenge build.

Supposed to get near 60 degrees here today, so I'll be taking a walk later.  Maybe watch some football as well.  

Work continues on the FSM build.

I slept over an hour late and I'm still the first one here?  I'll forgive the worker bees for sleeping in on a Saturday, but you retired guys should be up, the day's a wastin'.  

I almost typed December 7, 1941 "a date which will live in infamy".  

Continued work on the FSM kit today along with probably watching the Iowa State football game this morning and the Big Ten championship tonight.

Warmer here today, we'll break freezing this afternoon.  I have a blood draw appointment later this morning, otherwise more laziness and working on the FSM kit.

Brrrr.  It's eight degrees here this morning.  I'll go to the mall later to do some walking to try to build up my stamina from sitting around the last three weeks.

Wow, the first of December.  Certainly winter weather here the last few days.  No snow, thankfully, but temps in the teens this morning.  

Plugging away at the FSM kit walls, will continue that today.

Black Friday.  Odd that I'm off work, I think I've worked 12 of the last 13 years on this day.  No crazy shopping today, though we will go down to the local appliance store to purchase a new dishwasher, as there's a rebate.  I spent a lot of $$$ Wednesday on a new TV for the missus, no need to fight the crowds today.

Turkey Day!   I'll be headed to the grocery store this morning where our yummy ready to go Thanksgiving dinner will be boxed up and ready.  It's a "dinner for two", but it feeds us twice and is quite reasonable on price.  No mess, no carcass in the fridge for a week, no work.  It's ideal for the two of us.   

Started bracing the walls on the FSM kit and will continue that today.  Football watching on tap as well.

Have a great day, and a nice nap after dinner.
