Morning all,

Beautiful day yesterday.  Will get up to nearly 70 again today, but rain/storms this afternoon and colder the rest of the week.  Wife wants me to prune a couple of plants in the back later.

Working on a Proto 2000 kit.  Slow going as I can only attach so many hand grabs before taking a break.

Cloudy with possible rain, high of 47 today.  

My brother is coming over today as he's dog sitting for his son who lives not far from here (my brother lives an hour away).  Need to clean up and run the layout in case he wants to see it.

March is here.  We had snow late yesterday, a high of 47 today should get rid of what little accumulation there was.  

A trip to the grocery store later this morning.  

Here's a pic of a mass of narrow gauge tank cars.  Tankers are my favorite type of rolling stock.  I'm starting a Proto 2000 kit of one today.

Twenty three degrees this morning, headed to thirty six for a high.  

Trip to Costco this morning.  I had planned that for yesterday, but when I arrived at Costco I remembered I left my card at home.     

Today is the last day of my three weeks vacation.  Only four more weeks of work, though.

A haircut and trip to Costco are on the morning's agenda.  

The challenge kit is finished, except for some touch up and weathering the roof.   Will finish that and update the thread later.

Cloudy and "feels like' 6 degrees, headed to 27 today.  Just a dusting of snow yesterday, didn't need to shovel.

Worked a bit on the kit yesterday, will update the thread today and hopefully get more done.  

The rolling stock in this pic from the convention are all 3D printed.  Kinda cool.

Morning all,  

Back from our Florida trip.  Two days ago I was at the beach in the gulf waves with a dolphin swimming about 100 feet away.  Here today it's 24 degrees (feels like 15) and it's snowing.  

Looked in on the forum intermittently.  Hopefully I can get some work done on the challenge kit today, if I don't have to shovel.   Fortunately, we seem to be on the edge of the storm, only and inch or two.

Sunny and a high of 49 here today.  Packing day for our Florida trip.  Of course it will be in the 60s here Tuesday, probably not much warmer there.      I would have preferred going when it's in the 80s there (usual temp this time of year 70s), but my wife really thought she'd want to get away from the February Iowa weather.  Oh, well...

Adding the trim to the kit build, slow process.  The "Peel and stick" pieces don't peel well.  the "stick" comes off with the peel strip.  Each piece glued on, wait to dry under weight, do the next one.

I think today will be tax prep day.  Always a fun chore.  Also will start packing as we're going to Florida on Thursday.  Not close enough to Orlando to pay Tom and the Butties a visit.

Patriots lost due to no offense, but they had a great year.

Super Bowl LX!  Go Patriots!  I would never have thought at the beginning of the season they would make it this far, but  here we are.  I suspect Seattle will prevail, but it's all gravy considering the last couple of seasons.  

It's 27 here, headed to 41.  

Work yesterday was busy again.  But, I'm now off for the next two plus weeks.  

This was an interesting train turner at one of the display layouts at the Narrow Gauge convention.

We broke freezing yesterday!  I was at an exhausting day at work, but when leaving it was 33 degrees!

It's already 38, headed to 40.  Maybe the siege is over.  

I have a dermatology appt at 0730, better get moving.

Eight degrees this morning, we will almost get to the freezing mark later today. 

I got the kit sides assembled, we'll see what happens next. 

This modeler must have gotten tired of people asking how he did the water on his layout, so he had a step by step guide.

February!  After that long, very cold January, hopefully this month will be warmer.  It will be shorter, and hopefully seem so.  

We're starting off in double digits today for the first time in what seems like forever, headed to a high of twenty five with a slight chance of snow.  

Hopefully some work on the kit today.  I did get the trim repainted so it looks like installing the window glass is next on the agenda.

Single digit here again, headed to a high of 17.  Still in the deep freeze, but at least no snow.  

Tiring day at work yesterday.  Strep and influenza still rampant.  

Maybe some work on the kit later, but I suspect more of a lazy Friday vibe here.

I have a trip to see my physician later this afternoon.  

Didn't get anything accomplished on the kit yesterday, maybe today.

Nail biting Patriots victory.  Onto the Super Bowl!
